Trump-Putin in Alaska

Just yesterday Putin visited Alaska to talk to Putin on peace. What stood out to me is the fact that the whole event, from the landing of the aircrafts to the press conference, everything was orchestrated extremely carefully. Of course diplomatic events are as such, but the show of F35s and Raptors, and the flyby of the aircrafts including the B2, took it an extra notch further. Just googled if any foreign dignitaries received such welcome, and no, none did. Putin was the first. This sort of reminds me of those famous words from Reagan, “Mr. Gorbachev, open this gate! Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!”. And maybe Trump’s will be much more impactful than that. For some reason I want to give him the benefit of doubt and want to believe his unconventional, fast-actional ways may just work out in the end for peace!
